Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A.) American Gymnast considered one the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics took place in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s first female gymnast ever to be awarded four gold medals. Biles also took home the world title for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles was raised in Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. Biles and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was first introduced to gymnastics by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was just six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and a bronze at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Then she moved on to competitions at the elite level in the year 2011. Two years after that Biles was the king of the field. Biles stood out for her consistent performance, exuberant character, as well as the difficulty she encountered in the four events she competed in: vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and balance beam.
